There will never be another Husain, says Madhuri

‘Indian Picasso’ MF Husain passed away today, leaving everyone shocked and sad. The octogenarian has left behind many things in his life unfulfilled.

One of his last wish says his confidante, Riku Rakeshnath, producer of Husain`s Madhuri Dixit starrer `Gaja Gamini`, was to once again work with the actress.
Madhuri sharing her grief on the sad demise of Husain said, “There will never be another Husain. After doing ‘Gaja Gamini’ I did discuss second film with him. I have never seen anyone as passionate as Husian in my life."
Meanwhile, speaking to a daily, Riku said, "He wanted to make a comedy film with Madhuri that was to be produced by him along with Madhuri and me. We spoke about 3 weeks ago and he had promised to complete the half written script soon. He suggested we shoot the entire film abroad".
"But I am shocked beyond words. I was very close to this bohemian soul. He was so dynamic till the end", recalled Riku.
Being privy to Husain`s inner thoughts, Riku felt that the octogenarian became a sad soul, post his ban from India. "He showed the world that he was very happy in the place he has chosen to live. But in reality whenever I would call, he would only discuss his home in India very longingly and was devastated at being treated in such a way by his own people. "Unke dil pe lag gaya tha . (He had taken it to the heart) and he always said Meri country Hindustan hai (My country is India)", reveals Riku.

MF Husain acted in Madhuri Dixit, Akshay Khanna starrer `Mohabbat` before venturing into filmmaking.
